About Us page.
Is Competitious secure and private?
The security of your data is our top priority. We follow best practices for security and take every possible step to ensure your data stays secure and confidential. All information you add to a project on Competitious is accessible only by people you invite as members of that project. How does my company start using Competitious?
After creating an account, create your first project on the "Projects" page. Once created, click on the project name to go to the "Dashboard" for that project. From here, you can track who your competitors are, and use the rest of the tools to manage information on what they do, what threats they present, and what opportunities there are in your market.
What is a project?
Competitious uses projects to allow a company to manage different sets of competitors for different projects or products. For instance, a company may manage two products with little market overlap, and want to manage competitive information separately for each. Also, consultants may want to use Competitious to manage the competitors of different clients, and thus use a different project for each.
How do I invite people at my company to use Competitious?
As a member of a Competitious project, you have the ability to invite other members into that project to collaborate with you. Go the the "People" tab from a project, and enter each new member's email address. Each person will receive an email inviting them to join that project. Administrators of a project can cancel invites or remove members from a project.
How do I manage my list of competitors for each project?
The competitor list is on the "Dashboard" under the "Competitors" heading, and allows you to easily add or remove competitors as companies come into or move out of your space. To add a competitor, enter the URL of their website in the text box at the bottom of the section, and click "Add." To remove a competitor, click the "X" to the right of their name.
Why do I have to enter a competitor's URL when I add them?
Competitors are managed via their URL because it's the best way to ensure an accurate and normalized listing. If your competitor does not have a specific URL for a product with which you compete, you can simply enter their main web site but use a specific name.
Can I compare my own company with my competitors?
Yes, you can enter the URL of your company's site under the "My Company" heading on the "Dashboard".
How do I edit the name and URL of my company or a competitor?
To edit the name of your company or a competitor, click the "[edit]" link next to the name, and "Save" when you are done. To edit the URL, click on their name to go the Competitor Page, then click the "[edit]" link next to the "Website" listing under "Details".
How can I use Competitious to organize news about my own company and my competitors?
Using our
Clipping system, you can securely save and organize any news about yourself or your competitors found anywhere on the Web.
